We are super lucky with our choice of locations in beautiful Brisbane. From sand to trees and country. Read on for our preferred locations and to see which spot will be right for you....
Scarborough Beach offers a range of spots for your portrait session. Sand, grass, fig trees, even a playground, if we need to entertain the kids. If the tide is low, there is some rocks as well. This location offers a bit of everything, perfect for young families.
Around a 45 minute drive north of the Brisbane CDB.
Carparking is free (street parking and in the carpark) and there are toilets on site.
Old Petrie Town
Escape to the country without leaving suburbia. Old Petrie Town offers old style buildings including a fire house, grass, fig trees, old fences, and a old train station with part of a track.
Great location for all portraits.
Parking: free and there is plenty of it. We avoid Old Petrie Town on Sunday mornings because they hold markets there = lots of people around.
Powerhouse / New Farm Park
By far one of the most popular locations for all types of photography. Such a diverse location. Urban meets park. There is the infamous walls of the Powerhouse, the river (the rocks on low tide) and New Farm park which offers city views, fig trees, Jacarandas (in spring) and the coolest wooden playground.
Parking: Free and normally not a problem unless there is an event on, in which case we avoid the location (Markets are on 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month).
